Shiva Purana: Issue 1 The Pillar of Flame · Ages 10 and above
Before Kailash. Before Parvati. Before the trident and the third eye. There was a question with no answer between two of the greatest beings in existence, and a column of infinite fire that appeared from the space between their pride. The Pillar of Flame is the origin story of Shiva, told as the beginning of the Holy Trinity itself.

The Story
Brahma the Creator claims supremacy. Vishnu the Preserver counters it. Neither will yield, and their argument threatens to unbalance the three worlds. Then, from the void between them, a column of fire appears. It has no beginning. It has no end. Neither god can find where it starts or where it stops.
From that Jyotirlinga emerges Shiva, the Mahadev, the being who contains within himself all creation, all preservation and all dissolution. Brahma and Vishnu discover they were never rivals. They are two faces of a three-faced truth, and a new understanding of the universe begins.
This is where the Shiva Purana begins. Not with the mountain. Not with the trident. With a question no one could answer, and a fire that answered it anyway.
The Comic
Illustrated in a visually stunning style that blends ancient Indian art with modern manga and western comic art, this is devotional storytelling reimagined for a generation that grew up with graphic novels and anime. Rich, dramatic, cinematic panels that honour the full weight of the story while making it completely alive for a reader who has never held a Sanskrit text.
24 pages. Full colour. Print-ready A4.
About Divinity Creative UK
Divinity Creative UK exists because the greatest stories ever told deserve to be told in every era, in every format, in every language a new generation actually speaks.
For thousands of years the stories of Hinduism and Sanatan Dharma have been passed between generations through scripture, song, dance and oral tradition. These are not old stories. They are living stories. Stories about courage, devotion, sacrifice, wisdom and love that are as true today as the morning they were first told.
We are a creative studio dedicated to bringing those stories into the modern world through the mediums young people already love. Comics. Animation. Music. Activity packs. Each one produced with the same devotion and the same intention: that a child who picks up one of our comics, listens to one of our albums or works through one of our activity packs walks away knowing something true about themselves and their heritage.
The Pillar of Flame is Issue 1 of the Shiva Purana series. It is beautifully made because we believe these stories deserve nothing less.
